Lakeshore Gentrification

Seems that a fair-bit has changed down the old Lakeshore strip in Etobicoke over the past 3-4 years. Many of the great 1960’s motels that used to welcome people to Toronto for the night have been torn down to make way for condos. Shame really as they remained in business for almost 50 + years. Change is a good thing right?

I’m sure the new condo owners are going to pleased to be either hit with sugary and yeasty smells from the bakery next door, or the stench of sewage (yes it stinks) from the treatment plant nearby. Progress is great, no?

I remember once walking under the bridge of the humber and being chased by a bum who was sleeping there.. I later saw a police poster with his face on it for being a Perv and chasing women in the park lawn area.
