High Perch
A nice long bridge that straddles a huge ravine, this bridge actually brought my friend and I refuge from one of the super storms that blew through this past summer when we were caught off guard nearby. Climbing up a 150′ hill you come to the edge of this bridge that has two conveniently placed walkways (one being a DIY affair) that is being utilized for the construction of extra lanes next to the existing section.
Nothing too spectacular other then my love of geometric forms and the awe inspiring vibration that shakes the whole structure encouraging you to hold on the further out you walk. Once you reach the middle you are a good 150′ above an active trail where can crack open a beverage and finish your lunch and go unnoticed to the people below.
